Ram It!

We sold Jacob's Toyota Tacoma this week and bought a really nice Dodge Ram. Jacob was of course thrilled to have a nicer truck and I was thrilled to finally have a truck we can all fit in comfortably. In his old truck my knees literally touched the dash board since we had to move the seat all the way up to fit Curtis's car seat behind me. This is becoming more and more uncomfortable the more Nicholas and I grow! Its great to have two vehicles that we will all four be able to fit in safely. This was a great move for our entire family and as you can see the new truck is pretty nice!!!

Weekend Project & CFA...again!

Here are some pictures of our super fun weekend project. Jacob did a fantastic job cutting all the stars and Curtis and I had a blast painting them all. Overall we are thrilled with how it turned out. Most importantly Curtis loves all the stars!

We HAD to venture over to Chick-Fil-A again tonight for Superhero night. Curtis was thrilled to wear his Batman costume again and his best buddies all joined in on the fun too. Got to love five free kids meals! I know I am biased but these kids are TOO cute!
New pictures on our Picasa site of Curtis & Clare's 1/2 birthday cake eating "party" and "gifts" (garage sale buys!), me at 23 weeks, and lots more super cute superhero shots.

HMMMM...

Nothing much going on here this week. Jacob has been working a TON, I really feel for him! He is exhausted but has to keep up with his overwhelming work load. Please keep him in your prayers that he can get some much needed rest this weekend! Curtis and I had a pretty low key week. Play dates, breakfast dates, splash park, library, confession, shopping. Nothing too exciting. We are working on adding some decoration to Curtis's room this weekend. We are really ready to "BOY" out the room now that we know we will have two rough and tough little guys in there! Hope you all have a great weekend! I keep forgetting to take a prego picture so here is one of me last weekend (22 weeks) holding my beautiful niece Kaylee. You can kinda see the belly in this one :)

Nicholas Michael

So we are 100% positive now that we are for sure having a baby boy! See for yourself...

And I know it is a little early, but his profile picture looks JUST LIKE Curtis's did! Look at that cute little button nose of his! The ultrasound today made us both even more eager to meet our little guy! He is really kicking a lot lately, it was fun to see him him in action today! Thanks again to everyone for all of your prayers. God is SO good!

20 weeks and weddings

We had the pleasure of attending two weddings in the last two weekends. Here we are at Gary & Monica's gorgeous wedding reception:

Aren't my men handsome?! Then we headed out to College Station for my cousin Megan's wedding. She was generous enough to invite me to the pre-wedding bridesmaids hangout/bachelorette party so I headed down on Thursday. I had a blast being one of the girls again! Jacob and Curtis headed down on Friday night for the rehearsal dinner after picking up some of our cousins from the airport on the way. It has been three years since our entire family has been together and WOW there are a lot of us!!! We nearly filled the entire hotel and at our after wedding pool party you had to fight to find room in the pool. It was fantastic to see all of the beautiful children that had been born since we have all been together last and also to see the trend continuing as three of us are pregnant now (all due between Nov 20th and Dec. 15!). Megan and Michael are such a holy and fantastic couple. We were honored to be a part of their wedding preparation and special weekend. Can't wait for them to come home from Cabo so we can hear all about it!

We are officially past the halfway mark in our pregnancy with Nicholas. He has really begun to kick now and Jacob was able to feel it this week too. He is definitely going to be an active little guy! I love it! Here is a 20 week pregnancy pose... growing very quickly now!!Curtis is TOTALLY potty trained now. I still can not believe it! He decided he wanted to try less than three weeks ago and has had very few accidents since! For the past week has been nearly accident free including night time! I still refuse to believe my little guy is growing up but this kind of forces it on me! He got new Thomas the train sheets and tons of big boy undies to celebrate and he loves to show them both off!

Chick-Fil-A Cow Appreciation Day!

Shirley, Jessica, & I have been planning on this for way too long now! Shirley sewed the kids costumes and the mommies made our own skirts. I know what you are thinking...a prego in a cow suit...it was a sight! It was really a blast and we all learned a lot about sewing along the way. We all got free lunch and the workers at our local Chick-Fil-A asked us to go back tonight so they could use us in a promotional photo. They are competing against other stores in the region in a "best herd" competition. We are also in the running for free food for a year because of the pictures. Either way it was a blast and the kids just couldn't have had more fun dressing up! More on this later but check out these adorable cows!

Anniversary Fun & Loving Nicholas

Jacob and I celebrated our 4 year anniversary last week with a fantastic night at the Marriott near the Galleria. We had a free night because of Jacob's last travel for work (got to love our Marriott rewards card!) and the owner upgraded our FREE night to a king suite, gave us a bottle of sparking cider (no champagne for me!), a rose, chocolates, and breakfast. Did I mention this was all FREE? It was great! Jacob and I had a wonderful night together and ate super yummy food at Bucca Di Beppo.

Nicholas is doing well and getting big. I definitely feel like the world can tell I am pregnant now. I am thankful to begin looking pregnant and not just kinda chubby! Yesterday was the first time a total stranger recognized that I was pregnant, yeah! Then today I told our photographer and she still didn't believe me...funny! We are 18 weeks and a few days, I can hardly believe we are almost half way there!

Curtis has decided he is ready for potty training this week. We will see if he fizzles out or keeps going until he is really done with diapers. He gets really excited when it happens but sometimes still refuses to get on the potty. He isn't a bribe kinda kid and really doesn't like sweets too much. We are still trying to figure out how we can make it more exciting for him to try...Moms out there any suggestions??

We have a busy few weeks coming up with a friends rehearsal dinner and wedding this weekend topped off by a birthday party for one of our favorite little guys! Next week is bachelorette party, rehearsal dinner, and wedding for my cousin Megan in College Station. Two weeks after that we are going to Galveston with my side of the family. Hopefully this will make for some fun blogs this month!

I'll leave you with two cute pictures from the 4th of Curtis and his best buddy Clare!
