Snow Angels

We are in Albuqueque for a nine day buisness travel with Jacob. It is FREEZING!!! Sheish people isn't this supposed to be the dessert? The news this morning said the windchill could get down to -40 in some areas...ouch! We got out yesterday for a quick jaunt in the snow. Definetly took longer to get the kids dressed than we actually spent outside but it was still fun! I have a whole new respect for those who deal with this all winter. Seriously don't know how you do it. (emily?!) Keeping up with mittens, hats, coats, scarfs, and boots for everyone is exhausting. Its supposed to snow some more tonight and then warm up to be in the 40's by the weekend. Thats going to feel hot! Jan and Daryl will be joining us tomorrow night and we are super excited to show them around our "home away from home"!

Christmas eve Mass, Curtis was very proud to be wearing his new suit!

What?!!! Its January already???!!!! What a month...it was awesome! Nicholas is ONE! Curtis is FOUR! Christmas was amazing (especially because my grandpa was here!) Jacob was home for ten fantastic days! Jillian is officially back in training for another 1/2 marathon March 19th. Jacob got St. Arnolds Divine Reserve in his stocking from Nana...that was definitely the highlight of his Christmas! The boys (Curtis really) got a pop gun from St. Nick and they have both been running around the house popping and laughing. You know we are dorks when our family favorite gift was a IRobot Roomba vacuum! Jillian is THRILLED to have some help maintaining our wood floors and the boys and Gracie love to chase it around the house. Happy Epiphany tomorrow!

Sweet Failure

Using my husbands motto of overbuilding :) I decided to create a manger out of graham crackers and icing (who likes gingerbread anyway?!). It was pretty sweet...two stories with an angled roof...until curtis tried to add a chocolate chip to the roof...the extra .00008 ounce did us in! I guess my building plan was faulty :) But man it tasted great!
