The Verdict Is In
And it looks like we are having a baby BOY! Thankfully we decided upon a boys name last night :) he will be Nicholas Michael. We are absolutely thrilled and elated to have two boys! Curtis is very confused by the whole thing. He thought it was a girl all along so he has been calling the baby sister. Now he is telling people it is a boy but his name will be sister :) Either way he is really excited about the baby "toming out" in a "llllong time." Yahoo for boys!

16 weeks
I am going to try my best to be better at taking pictures throughout this pregnancy to document the growing belly. Here is my 16 week shot...
Taken just before we left for Americas (YUMMY!) and then to Jacob's ten year class Reunion. It was an absolute blast to see old friends! Since Dan was also in the class of '99 I knew quite a few people there. It was really interesting to see who has changed and who was absolutely the same...for better or for worse!
Happy Tuesday!

Goodbye Morning Sickness!
The first trimester is officially done! Yahoo! I am definitely feeling much better this week, praise God! We had another doctors appointment on Wednesday and of course everything looked great. The doctor got a great picture of the baby laying on his/her back with both hands clasped in front of his/her face. The doctor said it looked like the baby was praying, I told him of course he/she was we get them started early in this family! Maybe the baby was praying that Mommy and Daddy could finally decide on names! I told Jacob today that I wish we had our own Angel Gabriel to announce to us what we should call this little blessing! We are really struggling this time! We have until the 24th to decide as we will hopefully find out the sex of the baby at that appointment. I can hardly believe it is less than 3 weeks away already! Have a great weekend everyone!

New Cornice
Jacob just finished installing this fantastic new cornice in our livingroom...
What a talented husband I have!
Oh and you should know that my mom threatened to disown me is I didn't remove the picture from the last post. It is an awful early morning picture of all of us but it was a special moment so I had to share! The pregnancy is going beautifully. The morning sickness is beginning to improve, hopefully in the next week or so it will be gone all together.
Here is a cute one of Curtis holding his sign for his favorite baseball team and one of us making the sign before the game.

I will make up for it...
I promise...this one is worth the wait. We are pregnant with a healthy baby!!!!!! I couldn't blog for weeks because I stink at keeping secrets and I have been sleeping a TON and trying to manage morning sickness...SO WORTH IT! We had a ten week ultrasound today which confirmed that we are officially out of the danger zone. We are thrilled to finally be able to share our awesome blessing! The precious little one was sucking his/her thumb in the ultrasound today and wiggling like crazy. God is SO good! Thank you to everyone for all of your prayers! More blogs to come once the morning sickness is officially over and I can actually stay awake during nap time :) Here is an awful early morning picture of us immediately after taking our pregnancy test

Holy Thursday
Sorry for the delay fellow bloggers. LOTS of changes all around here. More blogs about that later. We had an amazing experience at Holy Thursday Mass today (celebrating the last supper). We went to Holy Rosary Church and it was PHENOMENAL! The building is the oldest in the entire Arch-Diocese of Galveston Houston and was really breathtaking. There were four priests presiding at the mass and each of them had such reverence for the Holy Presence. It was really a fantastic experience. Looking forward to Good Friday service tomorrow and then Easter Sunday. Curtis has really been into Lent this year and has taken a particular devotion to the stations of the cross. We have talked about them at least a few times a day and I finally put them up on his wall so that our poor book could have a break! I attached a picture of him kneeling to the cross in my parents backyard. We were playing a game of baseball when he felt the need to stop for a quick prayer...long enough for us to run and get a camera! We dyed eggs today and wrapped them in super cute Christian designs (thanks Kelly). Hope you are enjoying your Holy week as well!
